Los Angeles is a city bursting with contrasts. You encounter the glittery mirage of Hollywood, the boisterous underground life of Venice Beach, and the many districts that are more similar in their differences than their similarities. This series doesn’t reflect the L.A. we see on our TVs, but rather a completely different city. It’s a city that cannot hide its social contrasts between rich and poor. It is unpolished, rough and lonely despite the layer of glitter and make-up. This project exposes the camera-shy empty spaces of the city.
